Jackson K's 10 En Route to 3-0 Plainsmen Win
|
The Nebraska Plainsmen got a strong performance from pitcher Nate Jackson, who stymied the Belleville offense en route to a 3-0 win at Belleville Field. King Kelly converted his 18th save in 19 tries. The Bulls, at 21-34, have lost 4 in a row.
Jackson was in the zone all game. He frustrated Belleville hitters while giving the Plainsmen 7.1 innings of quality work. Jackson threw 114 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 10 punchouts.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Jackson said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
