Storm Stay Hot, Beat Dragoons

Syracuse and Louisiana duked it out at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium and the Storm came out victorious.
The Louisiana Dragoons got a superb performance from shortstop Krystof Melichar. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Syracuse. The Storm won the game, 7-4. In spite of the loss, Melichar was named the player of the game. He went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Pancho Chacón earned the save for Syracuse, his 3rd of the year.
Javier Sandoval had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth for the Storm. Coming up with the bases loaded and Syracuse trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Sandoval.
Syracuse has now won 5 games in a row.
