Caterpillars Topple Revolution with Late Rally
|
The York Revolution got a sterling performance from pitcher Michael Broderson, but the Caterpillars still prevailed, 2-1. Broderson was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. Pierre de Vizcaya, credited with the win, is now 2-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Grand Forks is 17-21 and York, with the loss, 14-24.
Lynwood Dimartínez was the walk-off hero for Grand Forks. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Caterpillars left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Dimartínez said after the game.
