Bulls Need Extra Frames to Get Past Airmen
|
Alameda got a terrific performance from pitcher Jeff Seawright, but it wasn't enough to beat the Belleville Bulls. Belleville won the Alameda Field contest, 2-1. Seawright was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. Martín García earned the save, his 1st. Belleville currently is in 11th place in the Menard's A at 12-19.
This game went down to the wire. In the top of the 11th, Rey McSriff had a big at-bat. With one out, the Belleville designated hitter hit a sacrifice fly, to put his team up, 2-1.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," McSriff told the Belleville Herald.
