Bulls Topple Revolution with Late Rally
|
Belleville left fielder Manuel Vroonland made his presence felt in the 5-4 Bulls triumph over the York Revolution. Vroonland went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 3 times. Belleville reliever Martín García picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Hollis Morse was saddled with the loss. Even with the win, the Bulls have a dismal 7-14 record.
Ed Mellor was the walk-off hero for Belleville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bulls first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said York manager Glenn Draper. "But we decided not to take it."
