The Portland Evergreens did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Toledo Stingers at Evergreen Park. Nobody did more than pitcher George Eisenhauer, who captured player of the game honors. Eisenhauer, now 10-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 2 earned runs. Portland improves to 68-33 with the win. They lead their division by 2˝ games.

Nelson Jaramillo, who is tied for 9th in the PL in runs scored with 62, helped out the Portland cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the second baseman went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Eisenhauer said.
