Loons Win at Northville, 5-3
|
Fans who gathered at Old-Timers Park saw a good contest between the Minnesota Loons and Northville Eclipse.
Starting pitcher Tom Warrawong pitched well enough to help the Minnesota Loons beat the Northville Eclipse by the score of 5-3. Warrawong picked up the win for Minnesota, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-3. Aubrey McCrimmon was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 7 save opportunities.
The Loons got a big at-bat from second baseman Ramón Yniguez. For the game, Yniguez was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season gave Minnesota a 4-2 lead.
