Panama City right-hander Manuel Sánchez pitched his team to victory over the Boston Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park. The final score was 7-2. The Piranhas improved to 43-58.

The Piranhas beat the Patriots with some clutch hitting. The home run by Sergio Ortíz in the top of the third is a good example. With two down, Ortíz gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he came through with the big hit.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Ortíz told the Panama City Bulletin.
