Love Boats Deal Highlanders 7-3 Setback
|
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats downed the Asheville Highlanders, 7-3, at Heron Field. Francisco Guerra led the way, going 2-for-3 for Lake Minnetonka. Alejandro García picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 6-6. The Love Boats now have a record of 56-37 with the win over Asheville.
Guerra had an important at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Love Boats went on to win.
"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Guerra told a Lake Minnetonka Gazette reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
