The Minnesota Loons and Chesapeake Continentals brought some excitement to Chesapeake Grounds.
The Chesapeake Continentals thumped the Minnesota Loons, 8-1, at Chesapeake Grounds. Rio Mence was a big reason his team got the win. Mence went 3 for 3 with 3 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Andrew Prieto, credited with the win, is now 6-7. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 6.2 innings.
The Continentals picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Mence told the Chesapeake Daily News.
Chesapeake is now 48-43.
