Loons Topple Screaming Eagles with Late Rally
The Minnesota Loons dealt the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles a 10-6 loss at Loony Bin. Gilberto Rodríguez was the star on offense. He was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The Loons saw their win-loss record go to 47-42. At the same time, the Screaming Eagles fell to 55-34.

Rodríguez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-2 curveball from Gob Bluth, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Loons a 10-6 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Rodríguez.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Rodríguez.
