Sierra Sensational for Highlanders
|
Albert Sierra pitched a gem to lead Asheville to a 2-0 victory over the Springfield Shooters. The Highlanders bumped their record to 46-37 with this latest triumph.
Sierra was in the zone all game. He frustrated Springfield hitters while giving the Highlanders 8.2 innings of quality work. Sierra threw 98 pitches, allowing 6 hits and getting 4 punchouts.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Sierra said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
