Peer Akerboom never let the Eclipse get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his change up, to pitch the Rails to a 2-1 win. Richland, at 34-49, sits in 9th place in the Premier AA.

The Rails got a big at-bat from shortstop Hugh Hill. For the game, Hill went 1 for 4 with a triple. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Richland a 2-1 lead.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Akerboom, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
