Pedro Hernández put on a hitting clinic today as the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles dumped the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats 10-5 at Heron Field.

The Mercer Island left fielder made Lake Minnetonka defenders earn their pay, lashing Lake Minnetonka pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Hernández said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Pedro Hernández singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
