Screaming Eagles Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Chesapeake
|
The Chesapeake Continentals got a superb performance from designated hitter Rio Mence, but the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles still won the game, 6-4. Mence was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. Zion DeBose got credit for the win, improving to 8-3. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings. José Sauls notched his 3rd save in 3 chances.
One of the key players for the Screaming Eagles was center fielder Yu-shu Kang, who drilled a 2-run single in the top of the first inning. For the game, Kang was 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Kang said.
The Screaming Eagles own a robust 48-28 mark.
