Screaming Eagles Mow Down Highlanders, 11-4
Despite a great performance by Asheville catcher Tom Dickinson, the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles defeated the Highlanders by the score of 11-4 at Asheville Park. Dickinson went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. Victor Lustig, credited with the win, is now 8-2. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 4.1 innings. Mercer Island goes to 46-28. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.

Mercer Island designated hitter Ramiro Ramos helped the Screaming Eagles to the win. In the top of the fourth inning, the 25-year old left fielder stroked a double. For the game, Ramos went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.
