The exploits of first baseman Arturo Scantlebury, who is tied for 10th in the PAA in home runs with 9, helped the Asheville Highlanders defeat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 8-2. Scantlebury went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Derek Patton was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Highlanders.
