Miners Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Richland
|
The Marquette Miners picked up a win at Marquette Stadium, knocking off the Richland Rails, 7-3. Starting pitcher Gerald Bolton, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Marquette is now 35-35, while Richland is 30-40.
In the bottom of the first, Eli Cline hit a 2-run single for Marquette. The 56th hit of the season for the Marquette designated hitter put the Miners on top, 2-1.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Bolton.
