Richland got a terrific game from left fielder León Preciado. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Northville, 7-3. Preciado was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Northville reliever Freddie Mayes was the winner. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Jeffery Page. Northville is now 36-33. Richland is 30-39.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when right fielder Willard Thexton drew a walk. The Eclipse went on to win.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Thexton.
