Highlanders Fall to .500 After Loss to Shooters
|
The Springfield Shooters defeated the Asheville Highlanders, 5-2, in USPL Double A action at Springfield Stadium, with Springfield pitcher David Torres named player of the game. At 31-37, Springfield is in 8th place in the Premier AA.
Janghyun Yi hit a run-scoring double off Albert Sierra in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Shooters in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Yi had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Torres.
