It was a good time at Asheville Park, where fans came to watch the Minnesota Loons and Asheville Highlanders get after it.

The Asheville Highlanders bested the Minnesota Loons, 6-0, at Asheville Park. Craig Tricket was named player of the game. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. David Gómez got the win, improving to 5-3. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 3 hits and no runs, while striking out 7 and walking 1.

Tricket had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the second, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Highlanders went on to win.

"I really like what we did out there today," Tricket said after the game.
