Highlanders Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Shooters
The Asheville Highlanders picked up a win at Springfield Stadium, knocking off the Springfield Shooters, 3-1. Starting pitcher David Gómez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Highlanders now have a mark of 28-26.

The Highlanders got a big at-bat from third baseman Lorenzo Rosas. For the game, Rosas went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Asheville a 3-1 lead.

Gómez told the Asheville Observer: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
