Flamingos Top Piranhas Behind Peña, 7-0
|
Las Vegas left-hander Luis Peña was sensational in shutting out the Panama City Piranhas, 7-0. The Flamingos move to 52-44 with the win, while the Piranhas drop to 40-56.
Peña earned the win, going 8.1 strong innings for Las Vegas. The native of South Lake Tahoe, California allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 7. Panama City hitters did next to nothing against the left-hander.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Peña said.
