Asheville Highlanders starter David Gómez was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 8-0. Asheville occupies 7th place in the Premier AA at 20-23.

The Love Boats had little chance against Gómez, who overpowered Lake Minnetonka hitters and struck out 10.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Gómez.
