Minnesota starter Melchor Morse pitched effectively against the Chesapeake Continentals at Chesapeake Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. Aubrey McCrimmon finished to wrap up his 4th save. Minnesota, at 10-11, occupies 4th place in the Premier AA.
Luis Delvalle, who is tied for 10th in the PAA in home runs with 3, helped out the Minnesota cause in the top of the fifth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the first baseman went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Delvalle told the Minnesota News.
