Screaming Eagles Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Continentals
Chesapeake left fielder Phil Oostermeer had a good game, even if his team did not. The Continentals dropped a 6-5 decision to Mercer Island at Chesapeake Grounds. Oostermeer was 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Screaming Eagles, now 5-2, have hit the ground running this season.

Edward Sterrenburg, who is rated as the 10th best prospect by BNN, contributed to the Mercer Island win with a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth. For the game, the third baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
