The Key West Coral Reefers picked up a win at Milton Corner Tavern, knocking off the Salt Lake City Buzz, 5-2. On the mound for Key West was right-hander Rich Choquette, who played a pivotal role in the win. Joe Khokar notched his 14th save in 14 chances. Salt Lake City has now lost 4 straight.
Sadakuno Taketo aided the Key West cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"Enjoyed this one," Taketo told the Key West Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
