Nobles Top Tritons, 5-1
|
Jaganmani Vivek never let the Tritons get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Nobles to a 5-1 win. The winning pitcher was Vivek, now 5-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Bakersfield improves to 58-37 with the win. They lead their division by 4 games.
António Padilla helped out the Bakersfield cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the third baseman was 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Padilla. "The only team that can beat us is us."
