Buzz Need Extra Frames to Get Past Longnecks
|
The Buzz had to overcome a good performance from Bloomington pitcher Geoff Stackhouse to claim a 4-3 win at Lookouts Ballpark. Stackhouse went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Salt Lake City reliever Luis Bejarano was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Pierre Levegh. Salt Lake City has now won 4 games in a row.
Vicente Cruz's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a changeup from Pierre Levegh for a run-scoring double. It put Salt Lake City in front, 4-3.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Cruz.
