Longnecks Jolt Golden Cranes with Late Rally
Bloomington withstood an impressive performance by Santa Barbara left fielder Sixto Álvarez to defeat the Golden Cranes, 8-6, at Crane Field. Álvarez was 2-2 with a double and a walk. He drove in 4 runs. The Golden Cranes, at 35-52, have lost 5 straight games.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Marshall Willis was at the plate when Bloomington scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Longnecks to go in front, 7-6.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Willis told the Bloomington Herald.
