Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Ángelo Delgado, the Calgary Lynx defeated the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 11-6. Delgado went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Lynx. Sjoerd Reynoud got the win, improving to 2-4. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 6 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. Ramón Costello, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
Calgary designated hitter Juan Aranda helped the Lynx to the win. In the top of the fifth inning, the 26-year old right fielder stroked a 2-run double. For the game, Aranda went 2-5 with a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"I felt good up there," said Aranda. "I saw the ball well."
Calgary occupies 4th place in the Premier AAA at 48-38.
