Buzz Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
Salt Lake City overcame a superlative game from Keith Rojas to beat Bloomington, 3-2. The Bloomington pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Salt Lake City now sits at 35-39, while Bloomington falls to 29-45.
Late in the game, right fielder Alexandre Keeping had a big at-bat for Salt Lake City. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Anaías Pedroza. The play gave the Buzz a 3-2 lead.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Salt Lake City skipper Dan Joseph.
