Longnecks Raise Rally Flag, Beat Ellenburg, 6-3

Bloomington and Ellenburg duked it out at Dog Park in Ellenburg and the Longnecks came out victorious.
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds got a superb performance from pitcher Joe Shlabotnik, but the Bloomington Longnecks still won the game, 6-3. Shlabotnik was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. Júlio Rodríguez was credited with the save for Bloomington, his 2nd of the season.
Had Chet Hollis not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Hollis hit a 2-run double. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Longnecks.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Hollis told the Bloomington Herald.
The Longnecks now have a mark of 28-41.
