Pike Delivers Walk-Off Win for Golden Cranes
|
Pitcher Jason Troughton was sensational for the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Bakersfield Nobles. Troughton received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Santa Barbara, at 28-39, occupies 8th place in the Premier AAA.
James Pike, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA in total bases with 132, chipped in for Santa Barbara with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the tenth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Bakersfield skipper Wilson Alvarado.
