Longnecks Lose Again, 4-2, to Golden Cranes
|
Santa Barbara Golden Cranes starter Yoriyoshi Yoshimura pitched a strong game against the Bloomington Longnecks at Lookouts Ballpark, leading the Golden Cranes to a 4-2 win. In 8 innings, Yoshimura surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. John Brown notched his 10th save in 14 chances.
It could have been a different outcome for Santa Barbara, had it not been for Xu Cheng, the slick-fielding center fielder . Cheng contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Santa Barbara up, 1-0.
Yoshimura told a Santa Barbara Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The Longnecks, now 25-40, have lost 9 straight.
