The Bakersfield Nobles downed the Bloomington Longnecks, 8-2, at Lookouts Ballpark. António Padilla led the way, going 1-for-3 for Bakersfield. Bakersfield reliever Nésto Gago picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-1. Keith Rojas was collared with the loss. The Longnecks, at 25-36, have lost 5 in a row.
Bakersfield catcher Fortunato Rasquinha contributed to the cause with a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. For the game, Rasquinha was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI.
