Nobles Jolt Lynx with Late Rally

The Bakersfield Nobles took Calgary pitcher Miguel López's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Jerome Grounds. The final score had Bakersfield getting past the Lynx, 3-2. López went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 5. Bakersfield reliever Hiro Kurasawa was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Felipe Machado. Bakersfield now sits at 32-27, while Calgary falls to 34-25.
Terry Armstrong was the walk-off hero for Bakersfield. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nobles first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Enjoyed this one," Armstrong told the Bakersfield Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
