Pitcher Jesús Medina was sensational for the Bloomington Longnecks in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Key West Coral Reefers. Medina received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Medina, the winner, moves to 3-4. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. Bloomington is now 18-27.
The Longnecks got a big at-bat from third baseman Frank Crocker. For the game, Crocker was 2 for 3 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Bloomington a 2-0 lead.
