Big Day by Dotson Sparks Evergreens Win
It was a fun time at Evergreen Park, where the Las Vegas Flamingos and Portland Evergreens tangled.

Riding the 4-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Billy Dotson, the Portland Evergreens stopped the Las Vegas Flamingos, 7-1. Gerald Keller, the winner, improved to 9-4. He held the Flamingos to 1 earned run on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 1.

Dotson contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Portland in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Dotson took a changeup from Art Adams and stroked the home run to right-center. His 15th home run of the season allowed the Evergreens to leap in front, 3-1.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Dotson.

Portland is 57-28 and Las Vegas, with the loss, 49-36.
