Sandoval Sensational for Tritons
|
Jersey City Grounds was the site of a exceptional pitchers' duel.
Jersey City Tritons starter Francisco Sandoval turned in a top-notch performance against the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves at Jersey City Grounds. The result was a win for the Tritons, 2-0. Chris Sommer earned the save for Jersey City, his 2nd.
The Hotspur Reserves had trouble solving Sandoval, who surrendered no earned runs on 7 hits over 8 innings.
"We've got a great group of guys," Sandoval said, "and we're having fun right now."
The Hotspur Reserves, now 10-17, have lost 5 straight.
