Lynx Throttle Buzz, 8-1
|
Salt Lake City had no answer for Calgary Lynx starter Kenny Aarnoutse, who flummoxed Buzz hitters as the Lynx cruised to a 8-1 victory. The winning pitcher was Aarnoutse, now 1-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. The Lynx saw their record improve to 16-10.
Daniel García's at-bat in the bottom of the second was significant for the Lynx. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Calgary leading 1-0, the first baseman hit a sacrifice fly.
"Today was a lot of fun," said García.
