Patriots Win Again, Extend Streak to 9
|
The Boston Patriots topped the Atlanta Smoke by the score of 4-0, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Terry Armstrong. Armstrong went 4-4 with 3 doubles, while scoring 3 times for the Patriots. Boston is now riding a 9-game win streak.
Early in the game, third baseman Roland Deschain had a 2-run triple for Boston. It was his 7th triple of the season and put the Patriots on top, 2-0.
"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Deschain.
