Revolution Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
It was a fun time at York Park, where the Highwood Hawks and York Revolution tangled.
York Revolution starter Corn Elder pitched a strong game against the Highwood Hawks at York Park, leading the Revolution to a 5-2 win. Elder went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-1.
The Revolution got a big at-bat from left fielder Rich Stevens. For the game, Stevens was 1 for 3 with 2 walks. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 11th hit of the season gave York a 2-1 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Elder told the York Times.
The Hawks fall to 4-7 and continue their wobbly start to the 2032 season.
