Thunder Hawks Take Down BC, 5-1
|
It was a fun time at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, where the San Antonio BC and Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks tangled.
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks went home winners at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Brandon Franklin. Franklin silenced the San Antonio BC, enabling Ft. Polk South to grab the 5-1 win. Franklin got the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 5 innings. Franklin allowed 1 earned run. Sima Babic got the save, the 9th for him this season.
Pedro Larate, who is tied for 5th in the 3AA in total bases with 160, helped out the Ft. Polk South cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the third baseman went 3 for 4 with 3 doubles.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Ft. Polk South manager Mark Harrison. "It's usually not just one thing."
Ft. Polk South is now 54-40, San Antonio 48-46.
