The Billings Polar Bears and Ottawa Nationals put on a pitchers' duel at The Igloo.

The Billings Polar Bears did just enough to sneak past the Ottawa Nationals, 2-1, at The Igloo. Billings pitcher Valentín Montenegro earned player of the game honors. Billings is now 49-43, Ottawa 28-64.

Martinus Xhaka drove in one run for Billings. The 25-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Giddy Potts. It was his 41st RBI of the season.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Ottawa manager John Hill. "The effort was great."
