BC Nip Nationals, 3-2
|
San Antonio BC starter Israel Zorita turned in an exceptional performance against the Ottawa Nationals at San Antonio Field, resulting in a San Antonio win, 3-2. The BC improved to 38-40.
The BC got a big at-bat from left fielder Rodolphe Nairn. For the game, Nairn was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave San Antonio a 3-2 lead.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Nairn told the San Antonio Citizen.
