Polar Bears Turn Back Westwood, 3-1
|
Billings pitcher Roberto Roque did his part in helping his team beat the Westwood Sixshooters, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The win puts the Polar Bears at 41-34, while the Sixshooters drop to 45-30.
Billings used the timely hitting of Chuk-yan Yang to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Polar Bears on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I felt good up there," said Yang. "I saw the ball well."
