Rainbow Mermaids Lose to Grey Wolves, 5-4
Vancouver Grey Wolves starter Kent Clement was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 5-4. Francisco Valdés finished to wrap up his 17th save. Vancouver is now 34-40, while Northern Virginia is 48-26.

In the bottom of the third, Wilson Vega hit a 2-run home run for Vancouver. The 7th home run of the season for the Vancouver shortstop put the Grey Wolves on top, 3-1.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Clement told the Vancouver Daily News.
