Castro Helps Boston Cruise to 10-3 Win
|
The Boston Patriots dealt the Brooklyn Dodgers a 10-3 loss at Ebbetts Field. Melvin Castro was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Boston reliever José Sánchez was credited with the win, to go to 1-3. Brian Morris took the loss for Brooklyn. The Patriots saw their win-loss record go to 32-40. At the same time, the Dodgers fell to 28-44.
Jorge Alejándrez, who is tied for 3rd in the PL in stolen bases with 21, contributed to the Boston win with a solo home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 3 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
