Piranhas Continue Skid Thanks to Edwards, Grey Wolves

Vancouver first baseman David Edwards was a significant contributor in his team's 7-6 triumph over the Panama City Piranhas. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for Vancouver. Reliever Francisco Valdés picked up the win. His record improves to 1-2. Folkert van Huizen took the loss. Panama City's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The most important at-bat for Vancouver came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Terumoto Kurihara reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run, putting Vancouver up, 7-6.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Edwards, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
